Pension Marilos is located in the beautiful town of Boquete, high in the mountains of the Chiriqui Province of Western Panama. An hour drive from David, Boquete is nestled in a valley on the flank of Panama's highest volcano, Vulcan Barú.
Around Boquete you will find some of the best hiking and River Rafting in Panama. Make Pensión Marilos your base as you experience one of the many activities that the Chiriqui province has to offer.
- Go river rafting on the Chiriqui and Chiriqui Viejo rivers
- Go hiking to the top of Vulcan Baru, the highest point in Panama and where you can catch a glimpse of both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans on a clear day.
- Go hiking on the trail of Los Quetzales where you have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Quetzal, one of nature’s most beautiful birds.
Boquete is more than just a good place to hike. The community has established an international reputation around its coffee plantations and flowers. Boquete is home to major Panamanian coffee producers, providing beans to many countries around the world. In addition, Boquete is known for the beautiful flowers that are grown all around town, and the scent that pervades one's soul as they stroll the town's streets. Every year in January coffee and flowers come together in the Boquete Flower and Coffee Fair, a week-long festival complete with flower and plant displays, coffee, food, games, and dancing.
